Caelynx was founded in 2005 in Ann Arbor Michigan by Joe Formicola. Joe has over 25 years of technical and management experience in R & D and engineering consulting environments. His experience has given a unique insight into the understanding of product development processes.
In 2007, Stefan Castravete, PhD in mechanic engineer at the Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, joined the Caelynx team. With over 15 years of technical and management experience in R & D and engineering consulting environments and with a strong theoretical background in mechanical engineering on topics including deterministic and random vibrations, aero-elasticity, aerodynamics, linear and nonlinear dynamics, analysis Structural, fluid dynamics, acoustics, optimization, Stefan can take over a customer’s problem from the concept phase, the product development phase, validation and optimization. In 2008, Stefan together with Joe founded Caelynx Europe in Craiova, Romania.
In 2012 Caelynx became a Dassault Systemes partner in the US for Dassault SIMULIA and CATIA products.
In 2013 Caelynx Europe has also become a Dassault Systemes partner in Romania and Bulgaria for Dassault SIMULIA products. Also in 2013 it became an ECS partner for FEMFAT.
